David G. Herrera, President and Chief Investigator of Herrera Investigative Services, Inc., is a Southern California native, a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles, and attended the University of Redlands to further his graduate studies in Management. His law enforcement career began as a California State Parole Agent. In 1970, he became a Special Agent with the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and retired from DEA after twenty-four years of service as a former Supervisory Special Agent. In 1995, he founded his present private investigative consulting firm.
 During Mr. Herrera's federal career, DEA assigned him to ten major domestic and international cities, and he traveled to sixty foreign countries to carry out his assignments. He held diplomatic titles at three United States Embassies for over twelve years, including the prestigious post as the DEA Special Agent in Charge in Madrid, Spain for six years. He led and participated in some of DEA's best-known enforcement investigations in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Latin America. Throughout his DEA career, he received numerous DEA and foreign country awards for outstanding service.
 Mr. Herrera's deep understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic culture and tradition served him well, as he continues to communicate and service his clients in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He is one of the three original founders of California's fastest growing and highly respected Professional Investigators of California (PICA) association where he served as its first statewide President. He is an active member of the Association of Former Federal Narcotics Agents (AFFNA). Frequently, he speaks to various associations and community groups about his past and present experiences as an Investigator. In addition, he is a member of the Indio, Palm Desert and La Quinta, California Chambers of Commerce.
Mr. Herrera consults with and provides his expertise to various corporate entities and private individuals. Some of his firm's accomplishments have led to uncovering numerous cases of employee malfeasance in the workplace – theft, drug and alcohol abuse, fraud, embezzlement, workplace violence, and issues related to the ever-threatening sexual harassment concerns. Working with well-known labor attorneys, his firm absolved one company's alleged responsibility in an employee related sexual harassment investigation. In another company, his interviewing and investigative techniques led to the recovery of over $1,250,000 in stolen computers stolen from a major manufacturer. Another investigation led to the arrest of an Operations Manager and his Maintenance Supervisor from a major nursery grower charged and convicted with embezzling over $250,000 in materials and goods from the company. One Los Angeles based international trading company requested Herrera Investigative Services investigate, identify, and solve the issue of kickbacks received by the Purchasing Agent sent to the Far East to procure telephonic equipment. The investigative firm continues its never-ending efforts to successfully locate missing persons and unite them with those that seek them out.
