Work related Instructor experience at domestic and international venues with travel to more than 60 foreign countries.

David G. Herrera, is President and Chief Investigator for Herrera Investigative Services, Inc., a Southern California native, a graduate of the California State University of Los Angeles, and has furthered his education at the University of Redlands with graduate studies in Management. His law enforcement career began as a California Parole Agent. He later was recruited by the United States Department of Justice and became a Special Agent with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for 24 years before retiring and changing careers by opening his own Private Investigative firm in Los Angeles County in 1995.
During Mr. Herrera’s federal career, DEA assigned him to ten major domestic and international cities where he had the experience of traveling, working and/or living in over 60 major foreign countries. While overseas, he held concurrent DEA and diplomatic titles in three United States Embassies for over 12 years including working in the prestigious post as the DEA Special Agent in Charge in Madrid, Spain for 6 years. As an undercover agent, he participated in some of DEA’s best known enforcement operations of its time in the United States and many throughout Europe, Mexico and Latin America. Throughout his career, he received numerous DEA and foreign country awards for his outstanding service.
Mr. Herrera has a deep understanding of the Hispanic culture and tradition, and easily communicates with many of those clients in their native language. He is one of the original Founders of the statewide California Private Investigators association – the Professional Investigators of California (PICA) and became its first president in 2002. Again, in 2010, he was elected as its president and CEO. He is also an active member of the Association of Former Federal Agents (AFFNA), Investigative & Security Professionals for Legislative Action (ISPLA), and is also a member of the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce located in the South Bay area.
